St. Paul students won both age groups of the 2024 Knight of Columbus Spelling Bee. The Knights of Columbus sponsor an annual spelling bee for students in two divisions: 4th/5th/6th Grades and 7th/8th/9th Grades. This is the first time in the records of the Knights’ Spelling Bee that both state-wide winners are from the same school. Congratulations to St. Paul Catholic School students Elise Tranchida (6th Grade) and Preston Simmons (8th Grade). Both Elise and Preston won in their respective age groups at the school level, the regional level, and the state-wide level.
Congratulations to Mrs. Elizabeth Lauhoff for winning the NCEA Learn, Serve, Lead, Succeed Award! The award is presented to a teacher who has a clear, integrated philosophy of Catholic education and is held in high regard by peers, students, and parents.
