A.J. Hakim

Mr. Hakim is entering his ninth year teaching and sixth as a junior high teacher at St. Paul. Currently, he teaches eighth grade English, seventh grade Literature and sixth grade Literature. Mr. Hakim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (English major, Film Studies minor) and Master of Arts in Teaching degree (English and Speech) from Wayne State University. Prior to teaching, he worked as a journalist for nine years, six as a freelance sportswriter with The Detroit News and three as the education reporter at The Grosse Pointe News. Mr. Hakim loves spending time with his family, watching Ohio State sports with his daughter, watching movies and TV shows, reading and trying out new restaurants.
